Choose a content model before adding WordPress plugins
Crocoblock supplies WordPress tools with different roles. Start with the content and maintenance job, then confirm the exact editor, plugins and licence before choosing a product.
Six project cards, or structured records?
Start with the WordPress site and content you already maintain. In this hypothetical example, six project examples each need a title, a service category and a summary. Keep six ordinary cards if they already meet the job. Check a structured approach when consistent fields or repeated displays would be useful; this does not establish saved time or a need to buy another plugin.
Separate content, presentation and visitor choices
| Requirement | Next check | What the example establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Six projects, three fields each | Define the title, service category and summary for each project. | 6 records × 3 fields = 18 field values, not 18 licences or websites. |
| Consistent project cards | Check a reusable listing template and the selected editor. | Content records and their presentation are separate decisions. |
| Show a fixed category | Check whether an editorial query is sufficient. | A fixed selection is different from visitor-operated filtering. |
| Let visitors choose a category | Check the required JetSmartFilters provider and its compatibility. | Do not assume a filter plugin or every provider is included in a JetEngine purchase. |
| Simple, occasional updates | Keep adequate existing WordPress content and manual cards. | No purchase is required by this example. |
Check the exact product role
Crocoblock's JetEngine documentation describes custom post types, meta fields and capability settings. Its Listing Grid block documentation covers a Gutenberg route with a chosen listing template and record/query settings. That does not establish the same controls in every editor, version or bundle.
JetSmartFilters documents supported visitor-facing providers, including JetEngine Listing Grid in Block Editor. Check the exact provider and editor before relying on a filter. Dashboard administration filters and visitor controls are different functions.
Write the expected result before changing the site
Suppose the six published projects contain two Design, three Maintenance and one Consulting record. A correctly configured Design selection should show two. A category with no matches needs a useful empty state. A separate draft should not appear in a display intended for published records only. These are proposed acceptance checks, not tests MailboxCompare performed or proof of access protection.
- Name who can update records and who may change templates, queries or plugins. Confirm the actual WordPress and plugin permissions.
- Record the installed WordPress, JetEngine, editor and optional JetSmartFilters versions, selected licence or bundle, and installation rights.
- Keep a maintained backup and a responsible owner for hosting, updates and future changes. Plan website and database recovery requirements. Do not assume subscription cancellation preserves every service or capability.
- Check labels, keyboard operation, narrow screens and empty results on the configured site. No speed, integration or security guarantee follows from this example.
Before a purchase, confirm the exact products, licence scope, included plugins and current terms. Existing hosting, templates or manual updates may already meet the requirement. Publisher commission is not a customer discount.

Name the unit before choosing a booking workflow
An appointment and an item reserved across dates need different checks. Keep an adequate existing booking link or manual method; this worksheet does not establish plugin compatibility or a licence entitlement.
| Job | Write down | Next check |
|---|---|---|
| An appointment | Duration, provider, calendar and time zone. | Confirm availability and how the chosen calendar handles the intended time. |
| An item across dates | Item or unit, date range, capacity and return requirements. | Confirm the unit being reserved and when it becomes available again. |
| Both jobs | The appointment and item requirements separately. | Plan separate workflows unless the exact configured tools demonstrate the required connection. |
No product, bundle or connection is proven by this comparison. Confirm the selected editor, plugin versions, licence scope and actual behavior before relying on the setup.
Confirm the exact product, editor, plugins and licence before buying. This homepage selects no SKU and does not establish referral eligibility for every product. Keep adequate existing tools or manual cards when they meet the job.
MailboxCompare may earn a commission if you make a qualifying purchase through this link. Confirm the exact product and licence before buying.
