Restoring your choices and current facts…

How we compare

A comparison should help you act, with enough detail to judge whether it fits your needs.

Needs before cost

Receiving names, required logins, location, pickup, contents, originals and destination determine suitability before price. Unconfirmed required support creates a condition; an unused optional service does not invalidate an unrelated calculation.

What each price covers

The main calculator number covers subscription, receiving and scanning. Its complete total appears only when all used charges in that cost group are documented. We separate letter handling, cash due at signup, account funding, forwarding, setup, payment commitments and leaving costs. Known charges are not a complete price. No partial number is labeled all-in or cheapest overall.

Real units and selected plans

Envelopes received, exterior images, opened pieces, pages and shipments are different units. Plan selection uses documented allowances and costs for a uniform monthly workload, with separately documented annual subscription comparisons and without assumed shipping credits or midterm switching. Anytime is Mailbox Depot Lexington Bronze/Gold only; Silver and Unlimited are not included.

Evidence without invented experience

Official statements and indexed official excerpts have different confidence. We provide source URLs and review dates, avoid copied merchant descriptions/assets and do not claim firsthand testing or star ratings. Limited profiles remain useful; some services have no public price model.

Freshness and independence

Price-dependent calculations pause when their 30-day review interval is exceeded or a required rule conflicts. Useful unrelated features and workflow guides stay available. Human source review is still required; internal checks do not update merchant facts. Compensation never enters eligibility, costs or ordering.

Who prepares these comparisons

MailboxCompare is the independent publisher responsible for this research and calculation model. We analyze official tariffs and policies; we do not claim subscriber experience or rate provider service quality from these examples. Sources and scoped review dates remain visible with the facts.

Original examples are calculated from the same model as the tools. A successful source fetch is recorded separately from a substantive factual review. Material changes, conflicts and unknown charges require evidence review before publication. Inspect official sources and review dates →

Commercial placement policy

Compensation never changes factual comparison winners, prices, fit or feature advantages. Labeled standalone commercial features prioritize suitable active referral partners, with material unpaid alternatives retained. Prospective programs guide research priorities; they are not presented as approved partners.

Who does the research?

John Haywood researches published sources and builds cost models. Firsthand subscriber testing, if conducted, will be identified separately. Outside reputation is attributed to its platform and scope; no third-party review aggregate is presented as our own.

Editorial emphasis and objective comparisons

We may put additional research and production effort into useful resources about approved partners, with referral relationships disclosed beside earning links. That editorial emphasis is separate from the tools: commissions do not change eligibility, cost calculation, fit/cost sorting or calculated winners. Material limitations and useful unpaid alternatives remain visible.

Offers support this independent research publication; they do not turn every listed product into an endorsed purchase. We revisit the editorial mix when actual reader outcomes and approved net commissions are available.
