Restoring your choices and current facts…

Prepare for an online notary before you pay

Use these six checks to find what you still need to confirm. Your recipient and chosen service determine whether the actual document and signing arrangement can proceed.

Six preparation checks

Choose Yes, No or Not sure. These choices are temporary page controls: they are not submitted, saved by MailboxCompare or added to links. Do not enter names, identification details or documents here.

1. Does the recipient accept remote online notarization for this exact document?

Confirm acceptance of the electronic completed file with the person or organization receiving it.

2. Has the service confirmed a supported location, ID and identity route for every signer?

Ask about the full verification process for the actual signing locations. A photo ID alone may not complete every check.

3. Is the complete document ready, with the recipient’s instructions confirmed?

Have every page ready. Ask the recipient or document preparer about the required act, wording and when to sign or date it.

4. Are all signers and required document witnesses arranged?

Confirm who must join, where they will be, witness suitability and the fee. Do not assume the notary can also act as a witness.

5. Can every participant use the required device, camera, microphone and connection?

Check the service’s supported equipment and connection before starting the session.

6. Have you confirmed the recipient’s delivery format and timing?

Ask how to obtain the completed file and deliver it in the recipient’s accepted format before the deadline.

Turn an unknown into a question

For any No or Not sure, use the question beneath that check with the recipient or service before paying. Even six Yes answers are not legal approval, an identity-verification result or a guarantee that a service will accept or finish the document.

A document witness observes signing; an identifying witness or verifier serves a different role in the identity process. Paying for a document witness does not automatically supply an identity-verification alternative. Confirm each role with the service and the recipient or document preparer.

If this is mailbox verification, start with the mailbox’s setup requirements and its included or accepted option.

Official preparation sources and limits

Public-source preparation guidance, not a completed session or legal review. No document upload, ID collection, automated acceptance decision or state-specific execution instruction.
