Is Carrd enough for your business website?

carrd.com

Give people one place to understand your service, see a few examples and contact you. The builder fits a focused page; a growing blog, large catalogue or complex customer-account workflow calls for a broader platform.

Fictional service-page example. Carrd provides the builder and hosting; domain registration and an email inbox are separate.

Pro prices are annual. Domain registration, a business email inbox and external services are separate. Choose the tier on the plans page.

Choose by domain and form needs

Free$0
Up to 3 sites. Try a basic profile or link page on a hosted subdomain.
Pro Lite$9/year
Up to 3 sites. Remove the builder’s branding while using its hosted URL. Custom domains and built-in forms are not included.
Pro Standard$19/year
Up to 10 sites. Use a domain you own and add contact or signup forms, embeds and widgets.
Pro Plus$49/year
Up to 25 sites. Use advanced custom forms or a required feature such as password protection or site downloads.

Base tiers shown; higher site-count tiers also exist. Standard’s contact form can send inquiries to your existing inbox. Plus custom email forms add dropdowns and file-upload fields (up to 16MB per file). Free still suits a basic profile without a form; choose Plus only if its added fields matter.

A useful one-page starting point

For a mobile bookkeeper or solo consultant, start with one inquiry job instead of an elaborate site:

  1. ServicesWhat you do, whom you help and where you work.
  2. Work or backgroundA few relevant examples or a short explanation of your experience.
  3. ContactOne clear way to ask about the service.

This is our illustrative page outline, not a customer result or a promise of leads. If an existing free profile already does the job, you may not need a paid website.

Keep the other services separate

Domain: register it with a domain provider and point it at your site. Budget its purchase and renewal separately.

Forms and email: The Standard contact form sends messages to your existing account email or chosen recipients. That is different from having a hosted you@yourdomain inbox. Plus custom forms can connect supported fields and workflow actions; external service plans and payment fees can still apply.

More pages: Sections navigate within the site using URL hashes. For a regularly published blog, many independent content pages or a complex store, compare a platform built for that work before buying Pro.

A contact form collects an inquiry. If visitors should choose an available appointment time, compare Setmore’s booking workflow. Keep an adequate existing booking link or arrange times manually if that meets the need. Check Free before a paid plan; a normal link does not establish an embedded widget or calendar integration.

If you already use WordPress and need repeatable project records rather than a single service page, compare structured listings and manual cards.

Do you need a new website, or only a form?

Start with the website and tools you already have. A public page, its appearance, an inquiry form and a place to review submissions are separate requirements. Buying one does not establish the others. This static worksheet helps you choose the next check; it does not select a plan.

Record the job

Existing platform
Record Carrd, WordPress, another platform or no site. Leave an unknown platform unresolved.
Missing function
Identify the public page, form, stored entries or confirmed downstream workflow you actually need.
Required data and destination
This example needs a reply address and message; a name is optional. Decide whether email is sufficient or stored entry review is required. Uploads, payments and marketing automation are outside the example.
Responsible owner
Name who will maintain the page and form, review inquiries, manage access and decide record retention.
Confirmed capability
Record the exact product or plan and the documentation supporting each required function. Missing evidence stays unknown, not included.

Match the product role to the missing function

  • Carrd: check its current form and tier documentation beside the existing guide facts. The documented contact-form route does not by itself establish an entry archive or CRM workflow.
  • Elementor’s WordPress editor/form route: verify the WordPress environment and selected product. Its documentation distinguishes email, collection in WordPress administration and other submission actions. Do not assume every plan includes every action or transfer a hosting bundle’s features to the plugin.
  • Gravity Forms: a WordPress forms plugin, not a complete website builder. Its documented entry storage is in the site’s WordPress database; email and external integrations need their own destination checks.

GeneratePress is outside this three-product comparison. Its standalone theme and the GeneratePress One/GenerateBlocks Pro bundle have different scopes; the broader family includes form capability. Check the exact product or bundle rather than assuming either that the theme supplies the required form or that the family has no forms.

Include maintenance and access

For a WordPress route, identify who handles hosting, updates and backups. For every route, confirm editing access, inquiry access and record retention. No ownership transfer, export portability or continued access after subscription expiry is established by this worksheet.

Plan shared editing, site receipt or a working website copy with explicit recipient and continuing-service checks.

A submission confirmation does not prove email delivery or a downstream record. Check labels, keyboard access, visible errors and confirmation behaviour in the actual chosen form before relying on it. No form was tested for this example; this is not an accessibility certification or compatibility guarantee.

Documentation describes product routes, not the eligibility or configuration of your installed setup. Confirm the current product and required capability; no price, delivery result or paid upgrade is inferred.
