From document to completed file

  1. Confirm acceptance. Ask the recipient about the required act, electronic file and witnesses.
  2. Prepare with the service. Upload your complete document privately, use an audio/video device and confirm the ID checks for every signer.
  3. Meet and download. Follow the notary’s signing instructions, then download the completed file and send it in the recipient’s accepted format.

NotaryLive describes an identity verifier who must be physically with the signer and pass their own ID and identity checks. A document witness observes signing; its fee does not establish a verifier route. Confirm eligibility first.

Use the six preparation checks

Already signed the document? Check before starting over

Tell the service the document is already signed before paying, and keep the file unchanged while you ask what to do. An acknowledgment may allow an earlier signature where permitted; a jurat requires signing with the notary and an oath or affirmation.

Confirm the required act with the recipient or document preparer, then ask NotaryLive whether this document, signature format and signer arrangement can use its online route. A previous signature does not remove appearance or identity checks. NotaryLive’s pre-signed document explanation · Colorado’s act-specific notary FAQ.

Check an included or local option first

Mailbox verification may include a session or require its own accepted option. Start with mailbox setup or the mailbox-specific comparison when that is your job. For an ordinary document, compare the other online services or a suitable local bank before buying separately.
